The Birth of the Odd Guru
By Tuna Oddfellow
There was no ceremony. No flash of lightning.
Just a whisper. A knowing.
And everything shifted.
Wytchie looked at me with eyes that had seen something beyond the veil and said:
“You’re going to become a guru.”

Not a compliment.
Not a prediction.
A warning.
A truth.
A mission.
In that moment, something inside me caught fire.
It wasn’t ego.
It was alignment.
Like the universe had finally dropped the key into my hand and said,
“Go. It’s time.”
We talked, deeply, soulfully. And the more we spoke, the clearer it became:
I’d already been the Odd Guru.
I just hadn’t claimed the name.
Wytchie said, “You’ve been the guru of the Tuna-verse for years. You’ve taught people your way of thinking, your belief systems, your magic.”
And she was right.
I’ve always been the one who helped people remember who they are.
I’ve always taught through magic, music, surreal art, and impossible laughter.
I’ve always waved my freak flags with pride—and encouraged others to do the same.
That night, before the moon had made it halfway through the sky,
I bought TheOddGuru.com.
Not because I wanted a brand—
But because I had made a vow.
A vow to stop hiding.
A vow to live in my truth.
A vow to become fully what I already am.
I am the Odd Guru.
This isn’t a gimmick.
It’s not marketing.
It’s a covenant.
To live as the Odd Guru means embracing everything I am:
- My weirdness.
- My wisdom.
- My wounds.
- My wonder.
It means knowing that what makes me different isn’t a liability—it’s the sacred key to how I heal, how I teach, how I create, and how I love.
And so I say this, clearly, for all to hear:
You don’t have to be normal to be powerful.
You don’t have to be polished to be wise.
You don’t have to follow to be divine.
You just have to be unapologetically, fiercely, and radiantly yourself.
That’s what I’m here to teach.
This is the fire that lit the path.
This is the moment I stopped pretending I wasn’t.
Welcome to TheOddGuru.com.
This isn’t the start of a brand.
This is the beginning of a movement.
